We will be changing our website soon!

Kia Ora! Thank you for your ongoing support, prayer and usage of the website and email. Here at SGM Wellington working group, we are happy to know that the website has been a place the contemplative community of the Wellington area gather. We want to continue doing this well, and we hope that you can keep on visiting our website.
Though we will be doing exactly the same things as before - putting up contemplative events on the online calendar; organising retreats; sending you emails about up to date information of contemplative events; and continuing to seek funding so that retreats can be more accessible to everyone...  We have decided to change the name of the organization from SGM Wellington (Spiritual Growth Ministries Wellington) to Wellington Contemplative Retreats. 
In a few months, we will be launching our new website and email, from www.sgmwellington.nz  to
www.wellingtoncontemplativeretreats.org 
and
[email protected]
These are some of the reasons why:

• We need to differentiate our name from SGM NZ as an organization to avoid confusion in legal documents, accounting and admin of the two organizations.
• While we have lost funding in the last two years, the original website host has also tripled the price of hosting the website, so the decision was made to change the website host to save a good amount of money every year, and the name change now seems timely. You might have noticed that this email looks different from last year, this is because we have changed the email agent recently for the same reason.
• In considering the new name, we have leaned in to deciding a simple name that will communicate well what this organization is about and is easy to remember.
  

What this means is that when the new website launches, though our logo will remain the same and all the pages will have the same function, it will have a different look in layout. Once we have made the change legally, you will also need to make payment, donations or invoices to a different account name.
At the moment, the website will stay as it is until August. We want to let you know early so that you might not have a big surprise when the change happens. We hope that this change will not bring too much disruption to you, and we will keep you posted when it is happening. Please spread the word, if you know someone who is not on our email list.
