Preparations are well underway for two great opportunities to hear Dr Alexander Shaia here in Wellington - don't miss out!
Friday Evening June 27, 7.30pm at the Conference Room, St Andrew's on the Terrace The Fourfold Journey of All in Christ Our early Christian ancestors assumed a Jewish metaphor for the journey that each of us makes with God and Spirit. They understood the journey as on-going, cyclical and sequential, moving across four paths like the wheel of nature across the seasons. Their knowledge of the journey's four paths was the source of our great Christian spiritual practices. And among their most inspired action was the choice of the four gospels as The Fourfold Way (practices) of Jesus. In this lens, we will see the gospel of Matthew as the text of how we face change; Mark as how we move through suffering; John as how we receive joy and know union; and Luke as how we mature in service. To tend the sacred fire of love in action, we absolutely require a map. Yet having the map is but the first step. Then we must walk. All are invited to explore this ancient fourfold map and its practice. Welcome!
