Coming events, reflections, inter-action about Greater Wellington SGM issues.
As I prepare to email those on the SGM Wellingtin 'List' I thought, to keep the email short, that I would make this Blog Post. In addition to coming events previously advertised on this website, notably: - Karori Week of Guided Prayer - Raymond Pelly's Winter Series - Coming Home - Colours & Shapes of Grief the following newly advertised events may interest you. Entitled, "Give Me a Word - learning from the desert fathers and mothers" This will run from 5-23 August. Barbara McMillan - Spiritual Directors' Formation Programme Coordinator - writes, "This is an innovative approach to the retreat in daily life with a focus on the wisdom of the Desert Fathers and Mothers." Megan McKenna - US Scholar & Author - is in Wellington for a two day workshop, "We live inside a story" Sat/Sun 11-12 August; and a one day workshop, "Living with no fear - the spirituality and courage and hope" Mon 13 August. Pan's Labyrinth - innocence as the ultimate challenge to sacrifice - will be screened at St Peter's in Willis St., Wellington on 14 September with discussion the following day on aspects of spirituality and themes raised by this movie.
